The making of this blank and the majority of mycelium products is (in our humble opinion) more dependent on the methods of making the product rather than the ingredients. We got the method down but even though we can shape, glassing was rough because without a coating- resin absorbs into the substrate, making it mega heavy.

We don’t want shapers to have an additional step in their process to use our blanks, so we started new research to address this. We’ve been working on it for a bit and it’s going great! The plan is to finish this new research this fall/winter then move onto testing it- we will continue to keep yall updated as we move along🙂↕️😎

Hey! Been awhile..

We’ve been busy working on our proof of concept, a mycelium surfboard blank that’s shapeable. We actually finished that a bit ago but got caught up in new research and school and forgot to give you guys the update- sorry about that!

DMs with y’all have been some of the best parts of this journey. Now with a team in place and a busy summer ahead we’re so excited to bring you along.

Anyway, we still have a lot of work to do until we have the best possible mycelium blank but we know our next steps and we are stoked to have all you here with us. We’ll keep you updated much more frequently. Hope you enjoy the proof of concept video, talk soon😎
